Why interfaith action matters – Role of interfaith in peace & community cohesion
Venue: – Catherine de Barns Community Hall, Hampton Lane, Solihull B91 2TJ
After the great turn out for the AI meeting at the village hall near us, we are very excited to have our next meeting in the same place as we hope to have another great turnout for our next very important meeting.
In the current climate we all agree that a greater interfaith action is needed beyond simple dialogue – this event is organised in collaboration with the Solihull Faith’s Forum and the Baha’is of Solihull….it is our small contribution to this vital work – we welcome your input and if you can invite your friends from different walks of life to share this vision of unity and respect as all faiths and belief systems, if not distored, are about peace and harmoney and brotherhood:
We will start with ‘bring and share’ refreshments followed by a short program of readings and reflections on passages from all faiths sources of inspiration related to the theme of “Peace”. We are hoping that representatives of different faiths will bring a reading or prayer and there will be a selection for reference available for others who may wish to read from other faiths not represented.
Then we will have our speakers/presentations and discussion is by:
